The research-and-production enterprise EKRA, Ltd. (Cheboksary, Russia) was founded in 1991 by lead protection specialists of Protective Relaying and System Protection Dept. within VNIIR (All-Russian Research Institute for Protective Relaying at the time).

The major fields of the enterprise include various innovative scientific and technological projects, among them research-and-development projects, supply and commissioning of protection equipment, projects pertaining to effective fuel and energy management, power quality solutions, reliability and equipment safety solutions, on-site servicing, training, pre-commissioning and repair works.

The 30 years of experience is a solid foundation for our specialists many of whom were among designers of the majority of reliable protections manufactured now at Cheboksary Electric Apparatus Plant (JSC "ChEAZ") and in some CIS countries.
