The research-and-production enterprise EKRA, Ltd. (located in town of Cheboksary) was established in 1991 by the key specialists of the All-Russian Research Institute for Relay Production, Department of Relay Protection and Antifault Automatics for Power Industry.

The company’s primary activity is the development and realization of innovative scientific and technical programs, among them research and design projects, introduction and enhancement of devices, developments as regards fuel and energy conservation, power quality maintenance, equipment reliability and safety improvement, servicing, training, adjustment and repair works.

The EKRA specialists have a more than 30-years’ experience in their area of activity, they have designed the overwhelming majority of elaborate protection devices produced currently by the Cheboksary Electrical Equipment Plant as well a number of devices manufactured in CIS countries.
